   Almost a year ago, I had a wake-up call. Between juggling life, endless car snacks, and a Telluride that looked like it had survived a tornado (with ants crawling all over my children’s car seats after a camping trip), I realized something important: you can’t just toss every car seat into the washing machine.

   Mine were so bad I almost did—but I learned that while some seats have machine-washable covers, others don’t, and each one is built differently. You can’t just pressure wash them or soak everything without risking damage to the parts that keep kids protected.

   That’s when I started learning from other moms on TikTok who were doing it the right way—following the manuals and cleaning according to manufacturer guidelines. It opened my eyes to how much care and attention each car seat really needs.

   I dove in—reading manuals myself, testing products, and following every guideline I could find. When I finally cleaned them properly, the results blew me away. My kids lit up when they climbed into their freshly cleaned seats—they weren’t just clean, they felt brand new again.

   That’s what inspired Teeny Tidy Seats: a service made by a mom, for other parents, to make life a little easier and a little cleaner—without judgment, just support.

   I’m also working toward becoming CPST-certified, so I can be an even better resource for families when it comes to keeping their seats both clean and properly cared for.

   Because at the end of the day, I know what it’s like to parent without a “village.”
